Evaluating Micronutrient status to Detect Adult Malnutrition through Nutrition Focused Physical Exam
In partnership with Abbott Nutrition, Dr. Alison Rigby will be presenting on evaluating micronutrient status to detect adult malnutrition through a nutrition-focused physical exam.
This program is an adjunct to the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) program for identifying adult malnutrition based on the AND/ASPEN consensus. This is an interactive course that covers common micronutrient deficiencies with a discussion of real-life examples. Content includes a sample case study example.
- Define and identify micro‐nutrient deficiencies in target population groups
- To learn to evaluate micro‐nutrient deficiencies in the skin, hair, nails, eyes and oral cavity.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at SMCA McFadden Auditorium from 6-8pm. Sign in begins at 5:30. A light dinner will be served.
